Islampur, 20th March: Two people were killed in two separate road accidents in Islampur in the North Dinajpur district. The deceased have been identified as Kanai Yadav (45) and Deepu Kumar Singh (30).
According to sources, Kanai Yadav was returning home from work on a bicycle, on Thursday night. A lorry collided with his bicycle on the National Highway 31, which resulted in Kanai being severely injured. The locals immediately rushed him to the Islampur Sub-divisional Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
On the other hand, two motorcyclists were injured after colliding with each other in the National Highway 31 in the Old Busstand area of Islampur. The injured were rushed to the Islampur Sub-divisional Hospital, where Deepu Kumar Singh, a resident of the Aadgachh area of Ramganj, succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the injured are currently undergoing treatment at the Islampur Sub-divisional Hospital.
