Kharibari, 26th March: Sensation prevailed in the area after a rampant lorry met with an accident while heading from Siliguri to Bihar. The said accident transpired near the Durga Mandir area of Batasi, Kharibari.
As per the sources due to high speed, the lorry went out of control and rammed into a house, breaking a tree 100 meters away from the road. Hearing the loud noise, the local people reached the spot. The driver and co-driver got trapped in the lorry and were soon rescued. After this, they were rushed to Batasi Hospital.
On the other hand, as soon as the news was received, the Kharibari police reached the spot and recovered the lorry and started investigating the entire incident.
