Rajganj, 22nd January: Rajganj police arrested two people identified as Harun Rashid (25) and Rajib Muhammad (34), residents of Sardarpara under the Sannyasikata gram panchayat.
According to the police sources, the accused used to smuggle cattle into Bangladesh from the Indo-Bangladesh border of Rajganj. Six cases since 2014 had been registered against the two accused. The police had been on the lookout for the duo for a long time and finally caught hold of them on Friday near the Bhutkihat area. Today the accused were presented to the Jalpaiguri court.
