Siliguri, 03rd March: A group of miscreants allegedly vandalised a hotel and its properties after alcohol was refused to be served to them in NJP area. Cops arrested two accused in connection with this incident. They have been identified as Subrata Ganguly of Bhaktinagar’s Kathaltala area and Mohammad Sabnam Kamali of Raja Holi area.
Reportedly, the incident occurred on Wednesday night. The youths barged into the hotel and physically assaulted the employees and ransacked the place. A paan shop was also damaged in the incident. While the entire havoc created tension in the NJP Railway Station premises, angry businessmen of the area shut down several hotels on Thursday condemning the incident.
Meanwhile, a complaint was lodged at the NJP police station regarding the event. Based on the complaint, the police launched an investigation and arrested two accused on Thursday night. They were produced in Jalpaiguri court today.
