Naxalbari, 20th July: In a significant breakthrough, the Naxalbari police apprehended two individuals accused of forging documents to facilitate the illegal sale of government land in Sebdulla Mouza, Naxalbari. The accused identified as Subrata Sarkar and Anita Rani Chhetri, residents of Keshavpur in Bagdogra.
According to reports, officials from the Land Revenue Department of Naxalbari recently filed a complaint alleging the fabrication of documents to sell government-owned land. The complaint named ten suspects involved in the fraudulent activity.
Following an investigation, police arrested two members of the land mafia who were later presented in the Siliguri District Court on Saturday for further legal proceedings.
