Alipurduar, 17th June: In a distressing incident, two laborers lost their lives after accidentally slipping into a pond while returning from Eid prayers in the Bholar Dabri area. The deceased identified as Samim Alam from Bihar and Irshad Ansari from Jharkhand, had arrived at Bholar Dabri for work purposes.
According to reports, the incident occurred as they were on their way back from Eid prayers earlier on Monday. Despite efforts by locals to rescue them, Samim and Irshad could not be saved.
Following the incident, the locals swiftly transported them to Alipurduar District Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced them dead.
