Rajganj, 18th December: Two persons were injured after a collision between a state-run passenger bus and a motorcycle at Balaiganj in the Rajganj area along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway. One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition.
According to sources, the state passenger bus was travelling from Siliguri towards Alipurduar on Thursday. When the bus stopped near Balaiganj to drop passengers, a motorcycle coming from behind on the same road rammed into the stationary vehicle. Both riders on the bike sustained injuries in the impact.
On receiving information, personnel from Rajganj police station and traffic police rushed to the spot. The injured were rescued and taken to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for treatment. The damaged bus and motorcycle were later removed from the site, and police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
