Kharibari, 2nd July: An incident of mishap surfaced this morning as a cargo pick-up van reportedly lost control and overturned on the Asian Highway-2 (AH2) in the Shimultala area adjacent to the Panitanki in Kharibari. As a result, the driver and co-driver sustained severe injuries.
According to reports, the vehicle was en route to Bihar from Siliguri when it abruptly lost control on the highway in the Shimultala neighborhood next to Panitanki. Following this, the locals arrived at the spot and the injured were transported to the Batasi Primary Health Centre for treatment. Meanwhile, the Kharibari police arrived at the scene immediately after receiving information regarding the occurrence. Currently, the event is being further investigated by the police.
