Siliguri, 04th July: Special Operation Group (SOG) and undercover cops of Bagdogra Police Station conducted a joint operation under the Gosaipur Rail Bridge and apprehended two persons upon suspicion.
Upon searching, a 7 mm pistol and two cartridges were recovered from their possession. Charges under the Arms Act have been registered against the two accused who have been identified as Kalicharan Barman and Prashant Roy. Both are said to be delivery men of illegal weapons. They were presented in the Siliguri court today. Meanwhile, the kingpin of the racket is still at large.
