Alipurduar, 23rd October: Sensation prevailed after two fresh bombs were recovered from the verandah of ration dealer Jiten Das’ house in Kumarijan area of Bhatibari Gram Panchayat under Alipurduar 2 block.
Reportedly, Jiten Das’ family members spotted the said bomb in the verandah this morning. The Bhatibari Outpost Police Station was immediately notified. After this, the police and later a team of the bomb squad reached the spot and defused both the bombs.
In this regard, Jiten Das alleged that he heard a loud explosion in front of his house last night.
