Siliguri, 22nd February: Training is being provided by the forest department to its personnel to deal with emergencies in the zoo. In this context, a two-day workshop has been organized at Bengal Safari Park in Siliguri, where the forest personnel is being trained to control wild animals during an emergency.
A two-day “Training Workshop on Capture of Animals and Tranquilization” has been organized with 32 personnel from 10 zoos in Bengal. In this regard, the Director of the Siliguri Bengal Safari Park, Dharmadev Roy stated that the forest officials will greatly benefit through the two-day workshop.
Roy further stated that the forest personnel is being trained by veterinary doctors. He also stated that the forest personnel is being informed about the use of medicines for the wild animals during an emergency. He further stated that special training is also being provided, in this context.
