Two college students take initiative to help the poor amid partial lockdown in Siliguri

Siliguri, 10th May: The partial lockdown imposed across the state to curb the spread of the deadly virus has become a challenge for many people. Several people are living under severe crisis and have also lost their jobs.


Intending to help the needy, Pramasree Mitra, a first-year college student and Adyay Chakraborty, a second-year student, have stepped forward. The duo has taken this initiative by saving money from their expenses and tuition. Their service is truly commendable amid this alarming situation.

Reportedly, the said students distribute ration among the needy in several parts of the city. However, it is not being possible to meet the needs of so many people with such a small amount of money.


Hence, through social media, they urged all to help them with money or food items, which they will distribute among the poor. Their request received a great response. Adyay Chakraborty said that they also received help from New York, US. He requested people to join them in their initiative.
