Siliguri, 03rd September: The Baikunthpur Forest Department arrested two bird smugglers from Fulbari Canal Road in Siliguri. 55 parrots were recovered from their possession. The arrested accused have been identified as Dinesh Das and Sajjat Alam. Both are residents of Bihar.
According to forest department sources, the birds were brought from Malbazar and were being transported to Bihar for trade. A motorcycle was also seized from their possession.
