Siliguri, 11th July: In a recent development, Pradhan Nagar police station apprehended two individuals attempting to sell two stolen e-rickshaws and eight batteries at the regulated market.
The arrested suspects, identified as Anan Goswami (28) from Devidanga and Santalal Rajbhar alias Sintu (30) from Matigara, were intercepted by police following a tip-off on Wednesday night.
Police launched an operation at the regulated market upon receiving information that the suspects intended to sell the stolen goods. Both individuals were apprehended and taken in for interrogation. During questioning, they confessed to arriving to sell the stolen e-rickshaws and batteries.
Authorities seized the stolen e-rickshaws and batteries and subsequently presented the suspects in Siliguri court on Thursday. The Pradhan Nagar police station has initiated a thorough investigation into the incident.
