Siliguri, 27th November: In a significant breakthrough, the undercover cops of Matigara police station have successfully solved a case of theft within four days by apprehending two miscreants with stolen goods. The arrested accused have been identified as Amal Tamang and Tinku Chhetri.
As per reports, on the night of November 23, the miscreants took advantage of a vacant residence located in the Dookriya Jote area of Salbari under the jurisdiction of Matigara police station and fled after stealing two tabs and other items. The following day, the house owner arrived and discovered the theft. Following this, a formal complaint was lodged at the Matigara police station.
Based on the complaint, the cops of Matigara police station engaged in an investigation and arrested the accused duo on Sunday from the Indo-Nepal Border at Panitanki. The police also retrieved stolen goods from their possession. On Monday, both the accused were produced before the Siliguri Court. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation of the entire incident.
