Siliguri, 17th March: Based on a tip-off, the Pradhan Nagar Police launched a campaign and arrested two youths along with a huge cache of foreign liquor from the Mallaguri area, on Monday night. The arrested individuals have been identified as Uday Chandra Saha and Sumit Sarkar, residents of Siliguri.
According to information received from the police sources, the duo was planning to smuggle the liquor, in a vehicle, from Bagdogra to the Bhakti Nagar Police Station area, late night on Monday. Based on a tip-off, the Pradhan Nagar Police launched a campaign in the Mallaguri area and searched the vehicle during a Naka checking. 15 cartons (180 bottles) of foreign liquor were recovered from the vehicle during the search. Both the arrested youths were presented in the Siliguri court, today.
