Siliguri, 30th August: The undercover police of Pradhan Nagar police station of Siliguri Metropolitan Police arrested two people with banned cough syrup. The accused have been identified as Saurav Tigga (30) of Narmada Bagan and Amal Roy (23) of Samar Nagar.
According to the information, on Sunday night, both the accused had gathered at Champasari More to sell 60 pieces of banned cough syrup. Acting promptly after receiving a tip-off, the Pradhan Nagar police campaigned in the said area and nabbed the duo in the act.
Both the accused were presented in the Siliguri court after registering a case under the NDPS Act, today. Police are probing the whole matter.
