Two arrested with 14 mobile phones in snatching case in Siliguri

Siliguri, 16th August: Bhakti Nagar police have achieved a significant breakthrough in a mobile snatching case with the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of 14 stolen mobile phones.


 

The arrested individuals, identified as Karthik Karmakar (23) and Suman Chakraborty (22), were apprehended following a tip-off. Karthik is a resident of AJP Road Bhakti Nagar Pipeline area, while Suman lives in Deshbandhu Para under Ward No. 30.


 

The case originated on August 10 when Ramit Paul reported the snatching of his mobile phone to Bhakti Nagar police station. Following an investigation, officers arrested Karthik and Suman, leading to the recovery of 14 mobiles stolen from various locations in the city. The police also seized a motorcycle used in the crimes.

 

The accused were presented in Jalpaiguri court on Friday, and the investigation is ongoing.
