Naxalbari, 26th September: In a significant breakthrough, police seized a dumper truck illegally loaded with sand in the Bangai Jote area of Naxalbari. Following this, two individuals were arrested on charges of sand smuggling. The arrested accused have been identified as Atul Singh and Bhim Roy, residents of Kharibari and Jalpaiguri respectively.
As per reports, the Naxalbari police launched an operation in the Bangai Jote area of Naxalbari and seized a dumper truck loaded with sand. The occupants of the truck were arrested failing to provide valid documents for their load. According to police sources, the sand was being smuggled from Naxalbari to Bihar. Currently, police are engaged in further investigation.
