Siliguri, 02nd August: The Bhakti Nagar police successfully arrested two accused miscreants in connection with snatching a woman’s bag. The arrested accused have been identified as Bappa Das and Prasenjit Das.
As per details received, the woman is a local resident of Deshbandhupara in Siliguri. On July 27, two miscreants on a motorcycle snatched her bag on Sevoke Road. Reportedly, the bag contained valuables including a mobile phone, cash, ATM card, and various documents. Following the incident, the woman lodged a written complaint at the Bhakti Nagar Police Station.
Based on the complaint and CCTV footage, the police apprehended the suspects on Thursday night and seized the motorcycle used in the crime. Additionally, the stolen items were recovered from the suspects’ possession.
On Friday, both the accused have been presented in the Jalpaiguri court. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
