Naxalbari, 05th August: In a recent development, the Naxalbari police arrested two suspects, identified as Biswadeep Roy of Tukria More and Sunil Biswas of Roypara, on charges of cattle theft.
The arrests followed a complaint lodged at Naxalbari police station on Sunday night regarding a stolen cow from a resident’s house in the Tukria area. Acting on the complaint, police conducted a raid in Totaramjote in Naxalbari, where they apprehended the suspects and rescued the stolen cow.
Both suspects were presented before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Monday. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident. Additionally, the SSB rescued three cows and three goats from being smuggled at the border.
