Two apprehended with endangered pangolin in Rajganj

Rajganj, 13th April: Forest personnel of Belakoba Range arrested two people while they were trying to smuggle an endangered pangolin. The accused have been identified as Nandu Mukhia and Amrit Pradhan, both hailing from Darjeeling.


According to The Forest Department, they received a tip that the pangolin was being smuggled to Nepal through Siliguri. Acting promptly, a team of forest personnel launched an operation and nabbed the duo near Jalpai More along with the pangolin. The accused were presented in Jalpaiguri Court today for further proceedings.
