Twin roads approved after application under ‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’ in Naxalbari

Naxalbari, 21st January: Nehal Jote village under Maniram Gram Panchayat in the Naxalbari block has received approval for two concrete roads after an application was submitted under the state government’s ‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’ initiative.

The foundation stone for the twin roads, measuring 110 metres and 80 metres respectively, was laid at Nehal Jote village. The ceremony was carried out by Moniram Gram Panchayat Pradhan Gautam Ghosh.

Local residents expressed happiness over the development, stating that commuting during the monsoon season had long been difficult due to poor road conditions. With the roads now approved and construction set to begin, the long-standing problem is expected to be resolved before the onset of the monsoon.

The Gram Panchayat Pradhan said the project was taken up following applications submitted at the ‘Amader Para, Amader Samadhan’ camp and added that the new roads would prove highly beneficial for the local population. Residents noted that this is the first time since Independence that concrete roads are being constructed in Nehal Jote village.
