Siliguri, 06th April: A distressing incident came to light from Siliguri where a tuition teacher has been accused of sexual assault of three minor students. Significantly, the accused teacher has been arrested by the Pradhan Nagar police station. The arrested accused has been identified as Abhishek Bhengra, a resident of Mohargaon Rubber Line area.
As per details received, Abhishek imparts tuition classes to boys and girls of primary section of the area at his home in Mohargaon. Similar to other days, the children had arrived at his house for tuition on Friday. During this, Abhishek allegedly took three minor girls to his room and sexually assaulted them and cautioned them not to reveal the matter.
However, the girls revealed the incident to their families. Promptly, the families lodged a written complaint against the tuition teacher at the Pradhan Nagar police station late at night. On the basis of the complaint, Pradhan Nagar police initiated an investigation and arrested the accused tuition teacher Abhishek Bhengra.
On Saturday, the police have registered a case against the accused teacher under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and presented him before the Siliguri court. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire matter.
