Rajganj, 29th October: In a horrifying mishap, a truck driver suffered significant injuries after the truck caught fire in a gas cylinder explosion. The incident took place near Rajganj’s toll plaza area adjacent to Fatapukur.
Local sources claimed that on Sunday morning, a truck was parked close to the Fatapukur toll gate where the driver was preparing food. However, due to leakage the gas cylinder burst and ignited at that moment followed by a loud explosion. As a result, the driver suffered severe injuries.
Subsequently, the toll collectors hurried over after the incident and rescued the driver. Following this, the injured driver was sent to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). Meanwhile, the officials of the Rajganj police station and a fire engine arrived at the location upon being notified of the incident and the situation was brought under control.
