Naxalbari, 14th November: With the Bengal elections approaching, former Tripura Chief Minister and MP Biplab Deb has actively joined the campaign as the BJP’s assistant election observer for the state. On Friday, he held a meeting in the central area of Madhya Kotiya Jote in Naxalbari, where he once again criticised the Chief Minister.
MP Raju Bista, MLA Anandamay Burman, district election observer Bapi Goswami, district president Arun Mandal and several other leaders were present. The meeting focused on strengthening booth-level and organisational preparedness for the upcoming polls.
Addressing party workers, Biplab Deb said the people of Bengal want to “restore the state” and that this election is not merely for the BJP but for the liberation of the common people.
He alleged that the Chief Minister has no concern or responsibility toward Bengal. Commenting on the Bihar elections, Deb said the NDA is winning a large number of seats despite opposition to SIR.
