Siliguri, 30th September: The Darjeeling District Trinamool Mahila Congress organized a human chain in Siliguri on Monday, demanding justice for R.G. Kar’s rape victim.
As part of a state-wide initiative, the Trinamool Mahila Congress conducted a 175-kilometer-long human chain across the state to protest against the alleged delay in justice. Among various other places, Siliguri was one of the many locations where the demonstration was held.
The protestors expressed their discontent over the lack of progress in the investigation, which has been handed over to the CBI. They accused the CBI of being indifferent in pursuing the case, even after more than a month.
