Siliguri, 11st February: The Trinamool Mahila Congress activists started a Jan Sahyog Yatra, in Siliguri, upon instructed by the State Trinamool Congress.
The Jan Sahyog Yatra (public relation drive) was started by the Trinamool Mahila Congress Committee in the Baalu Basti area of Salbari under Champasari Gram Panchayat, under the initiative of Matigara-II block. The Mahila Trinamool activists went to the people’s houses and apprised them of the welfare activities conducted by the Trinamool Congress.
Meanwhile, the common people were requested to support the Trinamool Congress’ agitation against the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA) through the drive. The Jan Sahyog Yatra was attended by a large number of activists and supporters along with the Darjeeling District Trinamool Mahila Congress President Sushmita Sen Gupta and Matigara-II Block President Khageswar Roy.
