Siliguri, 10th July: Protests are being held across the state by the Trinamool Congress against the hike in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG. Likewise, today a sit-in demonstration was held at Hashmi Chowk on behalf of Siliguri Town Trinamool Congress 01 and 02.
Goutam Deb, Chairman of the Board of Administrators of Siliguri Municipal Corporation was also present during the protest. He said that the rate at which the price of LPG is increasing is affected the people of rural areas and the lower-middle-class people of the city.
“Apart from the unusual increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, the prices of daily necessities are also increasing,” Deb added.
