Trinamool Congress minority wing holds protest in Fulbari alleging harassment in the name of SIR

Fulbari, 29th January: A massive protest was organized in Fulbari on Thursday by the minority wing of the Trinamool Congress alleging harassment of common people in the name of SIR, along with concerns over the central government’s alleged double standards and communal politics.


The protest, held at the Chunavati football ground, was convened by the Jalpaiguri district minority Trinamool Congress with support from the Dabgram Fulbari minority committee.

Attendees included Trinamool Congress state minority wing president Mosharraf Husain, Jalpaiguri district minority wing president Md Mizanur Rahman, Dulal Debnath of the Kisan Khet Mazdoor Committee, Siliguri Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, SJDA Chairman Dilip Dugar, and other leaders.


Speakers at the event sharply criticized the central government’s policies, highlighting harassment of citizens in the name of SIR and the creation of divisions among communities through communal politics. They warned that future protests against such policies would be intensified.
