Rajganj, 01st February: A protest march and public rally were held in Rajganj on Sunday by the Trinamool Congress against the SIR project and what the party termed the “repressive policies” of the BJP government.
The march was led by Krishna Das, coordinator of Trinamool Congress for Rajganj, Dabgram-Fulbari, and Jalpaiguri constituencies. It began at Belakoba’s Battala in the Rajganj Assembly area and concluded at Babupara, drawing thousands of Trinamool workers and supporters.
Following the march, a public rally was held at a ground in Babupara, where Krishna Das and other party leaders strongly criticised the policies of the BJP government. The event was attended by Sadar-2 Block President Arjun Das, Zakerul Haque, Vidyanchandra Roy, and several other leaders and party workers.
