Rajganj, 20th June: Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Purnima Debnath won uncontested from the Babupara booth no. 1 of Sukhani Zone of Rajganj. In this regard, today, TMC party workers and supporters of booth no. 1 of Rajganj market undertook a victory procession.
Reportedly, today, the workers celebrated the candidate’s unopposed victory with band music and playing with Abir (powdered colour). Speaking during the celebrations, Purnima Debnath thanked the residents of Babupara for support and the subsequent uncontested victory. In addition, Purnima’s husband, Biswajit Debnath stated that, following the developments under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the overwhelming support of the area residents, the opposition parties have refrained from submitting their nominations.
