Kharibari, 29th May: Kharibari was hit by a severe storm on Tuesday night, causing widespread destruction in its wake.
According to the information, heavy rainfall and strong winds were reported across the area, resulting in the uprooting of numerous trees and the snapping of electrical cables, leading to power outages. As a result, the local residents were devoid of electrical services for a long time.
On the other hand, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) camp at Madan Jote in Kharibari on the Indo-Nepal border also suffered significant damage in the storm as the residences of the jawans were damaged by falling trees.
