Birpara, 21st February: Sensation prevailed after a tragic accident occurred at the Dimdima area near Birpara, on Thursday night. Reportedly, a truck and a Scorpio collided head-on with each other, killing 5 individuals on the spot. The collision between the two vehicles was so severe that the car was completely damaged.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Ashraf Ali, Barun Sarkar, Manoj Sah, Mithun Das, and Sanjay Biswas. Another man named Shibu Mandal was severely injured and is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
Upon receiving the news, the Birpara police reached the spot, recovered the bodies and sent them for an autopsy.
A shadow of mourning has been created in the entire region after the incident. In this context, the Dinbazar area in Birpara has been closed, today.
