Siliguri, 14th January: The traders of the Surya Sen Market near Medical College protested against the former Secretary Khagen Das by accusing him of corruption and shutting down the market complex.
According to sources, the Surya Sen Market was constructed around five years ago. There are around 69 stalls in this market. The traders have alleged that all the accounts of the market complex have been inaccurate for the last five years.
The former Secretary has not provided any statement, in this regard, and has not handed over the keys to the office either. Therefore, the traders protested by shutting down the market complex. Meanwhile, a complaint has also been filed against former Secretary Khagen Das.
