Traders defy lockdown protocols in Siliguri, 5 arrested

Siliguri, 17th May: In view of the rising COVID-19 cases, the West Bengal government has extended the partial lockdown in the state till May 30. As per the guidelines, the market and grocery shops can only be open from 7 to 10 am.


However, on the second day of the lockdown, many shops under the NJP police station area were spotted open even after the scheduled time. Acting promptly, the NJP police launched operation and arrested five people for violating the protocol.
