Trader detained for alleged attack on Ghogomali Netaji Bazar Secretary

Siliguri, 02nd August: A trader has been accused of attacking the secretary of Ghogomali Netaji Bazar in Siliguri Ward No. 36.


Ripon Saha, secretary of Ghogomali Bazar, alleged that a businessman named Bhola Biswas attacked him last night and snatched lakhs of rupees from him. He lodged a complaint in this regard at the Ashighar outpost on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, tensions erupted in Ghogomali Bazaar on Monday morning. Traders blocked the road for a long time as the accused was not yet arrested. Besides, the market was also shut down by them.


The police reached the spot shortly after and after talking with the traders, the roadblock was lifted. On the other hand, the accused Bhola Biswas was detained and taken to the police station for interrogation purposes.
