Kharibari, 22nd February: Kharibari Block Kisan Khet Mazdoor under the aegis of Kisan Khet Mazdoor District Committee of the Trinamool Congress Party took out a tractor rally protesting against the new farm bill and the increase in fuel prices. The rally started from Panitanki and circled the areas of the Kharibari block.
Kisan Khet Mazdoor District President Chhotan Kisku, Minority District President Mahibul Alam, Block President of Trinamool Youth Congress Basudeb Roy, Block President Hiranmaya Roy, Block Youth President Kishori Mohan Singh, Kisan Khet Mazdoor District President Satya Kumar Singh and Presidents of all the zones including several activists were present at the rally.
Addressing the media, Basudeb Roy said that the people are facing a lot of trouble due to the increasing prices of petrol-diesel and cooking gas. He also called the farm bill anti-people. Protesting this, a massive rally comprising of about 150 tractors was taken out against the central government.
