Tourists visiting Siliguri receive a new gift on Pohela Boishakh, NBSTC begins taxi service

Siliguri, 15th April: On the first day of the Bengali New Year, the North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) gifted a brand new transportation service to the tourists visiting the region. The bus (taxi) service was inaugurated by NBSTC Chairman Prath Pratim Roy and Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb through a program at Siliguri Junction, today. The service will start from April 20.


The move comes after several complaints of private taxi drivers charging arbitrary fares to tourists came to the fore repeatedly. Speaking on this occasion, Mayor Goutam Deb said that with the start of this service, tourists will get a lot of convenience and convenience.

Furthermore, NBSTC Chairman Partha Pratim Roy added that at present this service has been started with 5 buses (taxi) with a capacity of 27 passengers. There will be a total of 16 tourist points in this service. There will be separate fares for each tourist point. Tourists coming from outside will be able to take the bus (taxi) from NJP or Siliguri Junction. Tourists will be able to book tickets online.

    Taxi service!!!!! This too will offer sarkari service and everyone knows what the service will be. Tourist be careful. If government really want to improve anything, they must offer more opportunities for job creation and not to take away job of poor private taxi drivers
