Siliguri, 18th December: An e-rickshaw (toto) driver has been accused of hitting a passenger when he allegedly got down from his toto and boarded another. The incident surfaced from the Siliguri Municipal Corporation area.
Reportedly, Shabidur Mandal who arrived Siliguri from Nadia this morning boarded a toto in the said area. However, as he was running short of time, he got down from the toto and boarded another. Following this, the toto driver Sourav Das allegedly hit him, causing a serious head injury.
Upon receiving the news, the Siliguri Police reached the spot and arrested the accused driver and another youth. Meanwhile, the injured passenger has been rushed to Siliguri District Hospital.
