Naxalbari, 23rd January: In a commendable initiative to address the shortage of blood, the Trinamool Youth Congress (TMYC) of the Naxalbari Block No. 01 organized a blood donation camp on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the renowned freedom fighter.
According to reports, the camp was organized in the Bihar More area of Bagdogra. Significantly, about 150 units of blood have been targeted to be collected from the blood donation camp. The collected blood will be transported to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
The event was attended by Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh. He further proclaimed organizing similar blood donation camps at different places in the upcoming days. In this regard, the Naxalbari Block-1 TMYC President Swagat Ghosh stated that the camp was organized to address the shortage of blood.
