Siliguri, 14th July: Trinamool Youth Congress (TMYC) has initiated a campaign against liquor and intoxication gatherings near the Fuleswari railway line in Ward No. 24 of Siliguri. Led by Ward Councilor Pratul Chakraborty, TMYC members conducted a protest to curb these anti-social activities.
Chakraborty highlighted the increasing instances of anti-social behavior in the vicinity of the railway line and expressed dissatisfaction with the response from railway authorities despite prior notifications to them and the state government. He claimed that arrests have been made with the state government’s involvement, but alleged negligence from railway authorities in addressing the issue.
Notably, the campaign aims to bring attention to and deter such activities in the area, ensuring community safety and order.
