Rajganj, 14th June: Rajiv Banerjee, a prominent Trinamool Congress leader in the state, expressed unwavering confidence in the people of Jalpaiguri during his visit to Rajganj on Wednesday afternoon, coinciding with the fifth day of Panchayat election nominations. Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy and block leaders accompanied him during the visit.
After assessing the nomination process, Rajiv Banerjee addressed the media, stating that the party has entrusted him with the special responsibility of overseeing the Panchayat elections in Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, and Alipurduar districts. His primary focus is to ensure that the party’s candidates file their nomination papers successfully in these three districts.
Regarding the conduct of the Panchayat elections in Jalpaiguri district under the supervision of central forces, he confidently expressed that even if forces are deployed from any state, he firmly believes that the people of Jalpaiguri will prove that their opponents hold no ground. He emphasized the unwavering support and loyalty of the people in the region.
