The Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, made a claim on Wednesday stating that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure victory in 36 out of the 42 seats in the state during the 2024 Lok Sabha election. He further added that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government would come to an end within 3 months.
It is worth noting that this statement by the BJP leader is likely in response to an earlier statement made by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, where she mentioned that the BJP’s government at the Centre would only last for another 6 months, given the upcoming Lok Sabha polls scheduled for early 2024.
