Rajganj, 17th February: A single act of humanity, big or small can go a long way towards helping someone in need. Such news of kindness surfaced from Siliguri’s Fulbari II Gram Panchayat area.
Due to financial constraints to pay the power bills, the electricity supply of Ranjan Mishra, a Secondary examinee, was cut off by the Power Department. As the examination is knocking at the door, Ranjan went to a nearby club at night to study.
Upon receiving the news about the incident, the Yuva Trinamool Congress members stepped up to help Ranjan and his widow mother Ranju Mishra. The local Yuva Trinamool Congress paid the outstanding electricity bill amount of Ranjan’s house, on Monday, due to which, the power supply of the house resumed. The family members expressed their gratitude towards the gesture from the Yuva Trinamool Congress.
According to the information, Ranjan lost his father 10 years ago and his mother, Ranju, has been struggling since to run the family on her own. A local Panchayat member Hiren Roy stated that the electricity services of the house were cut off as the electricity bill was not paid on time. Upon receiving the news, the Yuva Trinamool Congress stepped up to assist the candidate appearing for his secondary examination.
