Siliguri, 27th December: The TMC leaders, on Sunday, reached Ashok Bhattacharya’s doorstep during today’s Bangadhwani Yatra in Ward no-20. Ward Co-ordinator, as well as Trinamool District President Ranjan Sarkar, was present during the yatra. Leaflets were handed over to the residents from door to door highlighting various projects of the state government and also regarding the ‘Duare Sarkar’ camp.
Ranjan Sarkar also visited Ashok Bhattacharya’s house to present the state’s 10-year development record. However, as Bhattacharya was not present at his home, Sarkar handed over the leaflet to his wife.
On the other hand, Ashok Bhattacharya, too, carried out a campaign in the same ward and interacted with the residents. Later, addressing the media, he said that the public representatives should interact with the common people. He accused TMC of carrying out such activities for formality.
