Rajganj, 12th March: The Trinamool Congress staged a protest on Thursday against irregular LPG supply and rise in cooking gas prices. The demonstration was organized by the Binnaguri Anchal Trinamool Congress of Rajganj Block in front of an LPG gas godown at Ambari.
Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed, Anchal President Prafulla Roy and Vijay Das, Anchal Chairman Dipen Adhikari, Block Committee Member Biswajit Das, Bhawani Shankar Roy, along with a large number of party workers and supporters, were present during the protest.
TMC leaders alleged that people are facing serious difficulties due to the rise in LPG prices and irregularities in supply. The protest programme was organized to raise these concerns.
According to sources, following instructions from the state leadership, the Trinamool Congress organized similar demonstrations in front of gas godowns across different blocks of the state on Thursday. As part of this, protests were also held in various gram panchayat areas of Rajganj Block.
