Rajganj, 18th August: The Rajganj Block Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders and workers protested demanding strict punishment for the culprits involved in the rape and murder of a doctor at the R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata.
Among those present at the protest were Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, Rajganj Block TMC President Arindam Banerjee, TMC Youth President Tushar Dutta, Rupali Dey Sarkar, and Sarbani Dhara, along with other local leaders.
Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy stated that the protest was held to demand the death penalty for the perpetrators of the outrageous incident in R.G. Kar Medical College. He further explained that similar protests are being held across various blocks of the state on Saturday under the leadership of the TMC party. Following that, the sit-in protest in Rajganj Block aimed to secure justice.
