TMC protests in Naxalbari over alleged harassment of citizens seeking cooking gas

Naxalbari, 13th March: Leaders and workers of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) protested in Naxalbari Block 2 on Friday, alleging that citizens are facing harassment by the BJP government while waiting in line for cooking gas cylinders.


The TMC demonstrators staged the protest outside a gas booking office, raising their voices against the state government. They also provided water and biscuits to citizens who had been standing in line since morning.

Arun Ghosh, Member of the District Core Committee and Sabhadhipati of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, stated that ordinary citizens are being harassed while waiting for cooking gas. After standing in line at the SIR office, people have been facing difficulties and harassment over cooking gas, and the TMC has said its movement against this will continue.
