Phansidewa, 16th May: Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Papiya Ghosh and Phansidewa BJP MLA Durga Murmu visited the families of the deceased in the recent tragic accident in Phansidewa to offer their condolences.
According to reports, the accident involved a passenger-laden pickup van traveling from Helagachh in Phansidewa to Bihar. The van overturned while trying to overtake a truck on National Highway 27 in Phansidewa, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries.
On this day, BJP MLA Durga Murmu visited the family members of the deceased who were hospitalized after coming from Bankura. He also spoke with the doctors regarding their medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Darjeeling District TMC President Papiya Ghosh mentioned that a relief desk has been established, and all possible support is being provided to the families of the injured. She added that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee are closely monitoring the situation.
